Bridgeport ISD Names Lauren Martin as Principal of Bridgeport Intermediate School

Bridgeport Independent School District has officially named Lauren Martin as the new Principal of Bridgeport Intermediate School. A proven instructional leader in the community, Martin brings a stellar track record of student achievement and campus improvement to her new leadership role.

Martin has dedicated her career to serving Bridgeport ISD across multiple capacities. She has excelled as a classroom teacher, an assistant principal, and most recently, as the district's Language Arts and Social Studies Coordinator. As an Assistant Principal at Bridgeport Intermediate, she successfully drove significant academic growth, implementing targeted initiatives that raised benchmarks and supported mathematics proficiency across multiple grade levels.

"Lauren builds exceptionally strong relationships while maintaining a relentless focus on high student expectations," said P.J. Giamanco, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services. "Great, successful schools are built on trust and collaboration. We are thrilled to watch her guide Bridgeport Intermediate into its next exciting chapter."

Martin holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and earned her master's degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. She is also a recognized state and national presenter on instructional best practices and elementary literacy strategies.
