Coach Darryn Shearmire, head coach of the Varsity Ladies Basketball team, was inducted into the Texas High School Basketball Hall of Fame in San Antonio on May 10. Numerous student athletes and their families traveled to the ceremony to support Coach Shearmire and celebrate this exciting accomplishment.

Bridgeport ISD has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for their outstanding support and commitment to music education. This is the first time Bridgeport ISD has received this distinction.

One week after bringing home the State Championship trophy for the second year in a row, Bridgeport Varsity Golf Coach Alan Green was selected as the 2023-24 Texas and Section 6 Men's Golf Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations!
